Let Your Light Shine

You are the light of the world.
A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.
Neither do people light a lamp and put in under a bowl.
Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.

Matthew 5:14-16.

You are powerful beyond measure and more beautiful than you know, everything you need is already inside; rise and let your light shine.

About Me image
Hi, I'm Amanda,

Welcome to my website!

My journey in the Word began through being in the wonderful company of two very good friends, who spoke often and in depth to me about God, over the course of several years, and piqued my curiosity.

During this time, I had made attempts at reading the bible but didn't get anything from it other than to be able to make the claim that I'd read the bible!

Spoiler alert...you can't read the bible, the bible is revealed to you...

'Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.' Jeremiah 33:3

Fast forward to 2020, where the world changed irrevocably and a deep urge to get to know God stirred within me, spurred on by a feeling of hopelessness and helplessness and needing a life raft, a rock to stand on and a solid foundation.

As I began to study, I began to receive prophetic insights, visions and dreams about what God was doing in the unseen realm and who He is.

Looking to scripture to back up and solidify what I was being shown, I found that God began to reveal Himself to me, and the more I draw close, the more He reveals.

Most of my posts take days to write as God reveals the deep ravines of His heart, and they are long, deep and all-encompassing, with each topic being explored to the core and lead by the Holy Spirit.

I am not special, anyone can have this, it simply requires a seeking that stems from a deep desire to find - ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you (Matthew 7:7).

I realised that my old ways of living, thinking and being no longer worked and I lost my passion and interest for the old wine and the old ways.

It became clear that letting go of the old and stepping in to the new was required, in order to allow the new wine to be poured into the new wine skin.

I feel that I am a new creation, with a new spirit, a fresh outlook and a new heart that is slowly being honed.

I am not perfect, but I am striving to learn, develop and grow as I deepen in my relationship with God, letting Him go before me and trusting the process.

True discipleship is the attainment of perfection through understanding and practicing God's ways and becoming one with Him, and I am loving the unfolding, as I am rooted ever deeper into His embrace.

I am excited to share the wisdom that God pours out and I hope that you will be equally blessed through reconnecting with the Source from where we came and to where we will one day return.

Warmest love and affection,
