Prophetic Word - 17th July 2024
Standing In The Line of Fire
I received this Prophetic Word when I was in the middle of a vicious and venomous Facebook exchange, after I asked God if I should be continuing to respond.
I was standing up for animal rights and I was a lone voice with several people against me, but I did not and could not relent and stood strong, untouched by the abuse that was being thrown at me.
At one point, the biggest bully said I was like a rock and I told her that she was absolutely correct, I was unshakeable and unmovable.
God Himself is the Rock and I know that He was standing with Me, fighting for me, and this observation was confirmation.
I fought valiantly until the end, undeterred by the threats and assaults to my character, which were fuelled by the lies of the enemy and his weak, limiting and powerless beliefs.
Firing Blanks
I knew this wasn't a good use of my time, but I also felt it was important to stand strong and there was no part of me that was going to back down, back away or be backed into a corner.
I also knew that other people were witnessing this exchange and that maybe, someone would be changed by the information I was sharing, and that because of this, a life would be saved.
As I asked God for wisdom, He showed me that not only was I standing in the line of fire, but He put me there, it was His holy fire and He was standing with me.
I realised how weak and powerless the enemy is, and that's why he has to lie, derail, threaten, coerce, assault and bully people into submission.
By refusing to relent, with God's wall of protection all around you, the enemy shows his true colours and his bullets can't touch you, because he is firing blanks.
The Enemies Lies
The people I was challenging were twisting everything, together with attempting to defame and slander me, whilst threatening to make my life a living hell if I continued to comment.
Undeterred, my conviction increased, and I continued to stand for truth and for life as I will not be cowed by the enemy, nor will I quench the Spirit (1 Thessalonians 5:19).
It became clear that they didn't care about the animals they professed to be "helping", they simply wanted to feel better about themselves.
In many cases, their act of "helping" resulted in taking dogs to a well-known "rescue" organisation who are not allowed to turn animals away and who therefore euthanise them because there is no room at the inn, to make room for more, in a continuous cycle of destruction, deception and disturbing cruelty.
And even though they knew this, they maintained they were "helping" the animals by getting them off the street, whilst I maintained that there was a third option, which was to get them to safety and then to a perfect foster or forever home.
The Spirit of Truth
I've come against people like this many times before, and every time, they were incapable of listening to or receiving the truth.
Even though they knew the truth, they justified their actions and minimised the suffering, fear and eventual death that ensued as a result of their part in the process.
These assaults always continue into a tirade of abuse, threats to tear both myself and my rescue organisation apart, to soil my good name and to lay charges against me, and by their fruits you will recognise them (Matthew 7:16).
Without a strong foundation, many would crumble under the pressure, but these are the enemies tactics to stop God's people from doing His mighty work and we cannot bow down.
But God gave us the Spirit of truth, an advocate to help us and be with us forever. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But God's people know Him, for He lives with us and will be in us (John 14:16-17).
Fighting The Good Fight
And so, I fought the good fight, and learned the lessons that God was showing me along the way, being strong in the Lord and in His mighty power.
I realised that I had fuelled some of the fire by being angry, thereby giving the devil a foothold (Ephesians 4:27) and I had to root this out and repent.
I also realised the importance of putting on the full armour of God, so that we can take our stand against the devil's schemes and stand firm, with the belt of truth buckled around our waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with our feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.
In addition to all this, to take up the shield of faith, with which we can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one, the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, and pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests (Ephesians 6:10-18).
Jerusalem will be a city without walls because of the great number of people and animals in it, and God Himself will be a wall of fire around it, and He will be its glory within (Zechariah 2:4-5).
Prophetic Word
I am putting you in the line of fire
My holy fire
The enemy comes against Me
Not you
They come against life
Because they stand for death
They are seeds of destruction
Not sons of creation
You will never be fighting alone
If you stand alone in the physical sense
Know that I am with you
I am fighting this battle
And I will be the one that sears them
Most people are small
Small minds
And small faith
Small love
And large pride
What they accuse you of
They themselves are guilty of
You hold up an ugly mirror
They see themselves in all their grotesqueness
And they revile
Come to Jesus you say
Go to hell they say
And that tells you everything
They cannot be reasoned with
They are devoid of love
Trying to feed their egos
With the blood of the innocent
As they sacrifice them in the fire
But they will never be satiated
I have no option
But to break them like pottery
To sweep them away like chaff
To clear them from My threshing floor
For they are of no use to Me
They are corrupt in My sight
They don't want to come up higher
They see no value in Me
And My wisdom
They only value their foolish pride
And so, I say enough
Enough of their wicked ways
Their time here is done
There is no place for them in My Kingdom
Their place is with their father
The father of lies
For no truth is found in them
Their eyes have been made blind
Their ears have been stopped up
And their hearts have become hard
And so I gave them over
To be reckoned
In the hope that they will cry out for Me
In the hope that they will return
To righteousness
Alas
This is up to them
The choice is theirs
But you My child
You are Mine
And I will protect you until your last breath
I will cover you
And comfort you
And bring you up ever higher
As you rest in Me
You will never be alone
An army stands with you
And I am at it's core
The Fire That Doesn't Burn
God wants us to stand in the fire for Him, He wants us to stand firm, He is right there with us in the fire, as He was as the fourth man with Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego in Daniel Chapter 3.
And even though the fire was made 7 times hotter, and they were bound and thrown into the blazing furnace, they walked around in the fire unbound and unharmed (Daniel 3:25).
The fire had not harmed their bodies, nor was a hair of their heads singed; their robes were not scorched, and there was no smell of fire on them (Daniel 3:27).
Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego trusted in God and defied the king's command and were willing to give up their lives rather than serve or worship any god except their own God.
The king praised the God of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego and decreed that anyone who said anything against Him be cut into pieces and their houses be turned into piles of rubble, for no other god could save in this way, and then he promoted them.
Walking in The Spirit
We cannot shrink away from what God calls us to do, but in order to have success, we must not grieve the Holy Spirit of God (Ephesians 4:30), we have to learn to walk in the Spirit.
For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline (2 Timothy 1:7).
We are called to be bold and we need not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, to present our requests to God.And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard our hearts and our minds (Philippians 4:6-7).
So let us walk by the Spirit, and we will not gratify the desires of the flesh (Galatians 5:16).
The Fruits of The Spirit
So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armour of light (Romans 13:12).
For the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
Against such things there is no law (Galatians 5:22-23) and God will strengthen us and help us; He will uphold us with His righteous hand (Isaiah 41:10).
We need not fear, for He has redeemed us; He has summoned us by name; we are His.
When we pass through the waters, He will be be with us, and when we pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over us, and when we walk through the fire, we will not be burned; the flames will not set us ablaze (Isaiah 43:1-2).
God Will Refine & Test Us
God will put His sheep into the fire; He will refine us like silver and test us like gold.
We will call on His name and He will answer us; He will say, 'They are my people,' and we will say, 'The LORD is our God.' (Zechariah 13:9).
So do not fear, for God is with us, He has refined us and tested us in the furnace of affliction (Isaiah 48:10).
He let people ride over our heads; we will go through through fire and water, but He will bring us to a place of abundance (Psalm 66:12).
The crucible for silver and the furnace for gold, but the LORD tests the heart (Proverbs 17:3).
Trials & Temptations
We are to consider it pure joy, whenever we face trials of many kinds, because we know that the testing of our faith produces perseverance.
Let perseverance finish its work sot hat we may be mature and complete, not lacking anything (James 1:2-4).
God's winnowing fork is in hand, and He will clear His threshing floor, gathering His wheat into the barn and burning up the chaff with unquenchable fire (Matthew 3:12).
The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; He delivers them from all their troubles (Psalm 34:17).
The LORD is near to all who call on Him in truth. He fulfils the desires of those who fear Him; He hears their cry and saves them (Psalm 145:18-19).
