Prophetic Insight 7th August 2021

God lead me to the book of Daniel and showed me the kingdom that is coming that will never be destroyed.

This vision was given to Nebuchadnezzar, the King of Babylon, in a dream and he called upon the wise men to tell him what his dream was and also it’s meaning.

The king had firmly decided that if they did not tell him what his dream was and interpret it, he would have them cut into pieces and their houses turned into piles of rubble. But if they tell him the dream and explain it, they would receive from him gifts and rewards and great honour.

The wise men told the King that what he asked was too difficult and that no one could reveal it to him except the gods.

This made the king so angry that he ordered the execution of all the wise men of Babylon and men were sent to look for Daniel and his friends to put them to death along with them (Daniel 2:1-13).

The King's Dream Revealed To Daniel By God

Daniel spoke to Arioch, the commander of the king’s guard, to find out why the king had issued such a harsh decree and he asked for time so that he may interpret the dream for him.

Daniel returned to his house and explained the matter to his friends Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah and urged them to plead for mercy from the God of Heaven concerning the mystery, so that he and his friends might not be executed.

During the night, Nebuchadnezzar’s dream and it’s meaning was revealed to Daniel in a vision.

Daniel went to Arioch, whom the king had appointed to execute the wise men, and told him not to execute them and to take him to the king so he could interpret his dream.

Daniel told the king that no-one could explain the mystery he had asked about, but there is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries (Daniel 2:14-28).

Daniel Explained The King's Dream

He then explained the king’s dream about an enormous dazzling statue, awesome in appearance, that stood before him.

The head of the statue was made of pure gold, it’s chest and arms of silver, it’s belly and thighs of bronze, it’s legs of iron, it’s feet partly of iron and partly of baked clay.

While he was watching, a Rock was cut out, but not by human hands. It struck the statue on its feet of iron and clay and smashed them.

Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver and the gold were all broken to pieces and became like chaff on a threshing floor in the summer. The wind swept them away without leaving a trace.

But the rock that struck the statue became a huge mountain and filled the whole earth (Daniel 2:31-35).

Daniel interprets The King's Dream

Daniel then went on to interpret the king’s dream and explained that God had given him dominion and power and might and glory and that he was the head of gold.

After him, another kingdom would arise that was inferior to his (silver) and another (bronze) which would rule over the earth.

Finally there would be a fourth kingdom, strong as iron - for iron breaks and smashes everything - and as iron breaks things to pieces, so it will crush and break all the others.

The feet and toes that were partly of baked clay and partly of iron signified that it would be a divided kingdom; yet it would have some of the strength of iron in it.

As the toes were partly iron and partly clay, so this kingdom would be partly strong and partly brittle. And as the iron was mixed with baked clay, so the people would be a mixture and would not remain united, any more than iron mixes with clay (Daniel 2:36-43).

The Kingdom That Will Never Be Destroyed

In the time of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people.

It will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will itself endure forever.

This is the meaning of the vision of the rock cut out of a mountain, but not by human hands - a rock that broke the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver and the gold to pieces (Daniel 2:44-45).

God is that rock!!!

His righteous Kingdom is coming and it endures forever!

The Kingdom of God

The kingdom of God will be given to a people who will produce its fruit (Matthew 21:43).

The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control (Galatians 15:22-23).

Wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God. Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 6:9-10).

For the kingdom of God is a matter of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, because anyone who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and receives human approval (Romans 14:17-18).

The coming of the kingdom of God is not something that can be observed, it is in your midst (Luke 17:20-21).

Entering The Kingdom of God

Jesus tells us that no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again (John 3:3) and no one can enter unless they are born of water and the Spirit (John 3:5).

Paul and Barnabas said that we must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God (Acts 14:22).

The kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power (1 Corinthians 4:20).

Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you.

Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain (1 Corinthians 58).
